The ETA Inter-Club Competition was held on Sunday, 19th October 2025 at George Green’s School.
This local event brought together Taekwondo students from nearby clubs for a day of spirited competition, skill development, and community building.
This competition is open to all coloured belts, with black belts not competing. Students took part in patterns and sparring categories, giving them the opportunity to demonstrate both their technical precision and competitive spirit.
We were once again privileged to have Grandmaster Denis (9th Dan) in attendance, along with several 7th Degree Masters, who oversaw the competition and maintained the high standards of conduct, safety, and performance expected at ETA events.
The atmosphere was supportive and energetic, with students pushing themselves and cheering each other on throughout the day. Events like these not only build confidence and experience but also strengthen the bonds within our Taekwondo community.
A big thank you to all the instructors, referees, volunteers, and parents who helped make the day a success — and congratulations to all competitors for their hard work and dedication!
This year, our own Class of ’25 volunteered to assist with the competition, bringing their first hand experience as former participants and gaining valuable insight by being involved in an event like this.
And they did so well — not just assisting our own Silverback school, but also supporting all the other competitors. They stepped up as equal linesmen and referees, showing fairness, maturity, and professionalism. A proud moment not just for our Silverback club, but for ETA as a whole. Well done, Class of ’25!

Taekwondo competitions aren’t just about medals — they’re about fun! Kids get to show off their patterns, test their sparring skills, and try those crazy special techniques that make the crowd cheer.
Sure, there are nerves, but that’s where the real growth happens. Win or lose, every match builds confidence, resilience, and friendships that last.
As parents, we get to watch our kids step up with courage, laugh with teammates, and beam with pride just for giving it a go.
Competitions = confidence + memories + a whole lot of fun.
