On 30 March 2026, the LGED Centre in Chattogram, Bangladesh, hosted the opening ceremony of the 3rd International Taekwondo Federation (ITF) event. The ceremony marked the beginning of a program that included both a seminar and a competition.
The opening was delivered with real quality by the host organization and its team of taekwondo students. Their demonstrations were sharp, disciplined and engaging, combining technical skill with touches of traditional Bangladeshi culture to create a memorable start to the event.
A number of distinguished guests were in attendance. Dr Shaadat Hossain attended as Chief Guest, with Masum Parvez Rubel as Inaugurator. The Chief Speaker was Shihan Principal Ajoy Dey. Among the special guests were Mr Liu Chen (6th Dan) and our own Mr Uddin (4th Dan), alongside several other respected figures from the taekwondo community.

Even one of the guests, Dr Muhammed Shafi – a master-level practitioner of wushu – participated in demonstrating fire juggling and even bending a sword (definitely not to be tried at home) to wow the crowd further. What a spectacle – never mind that he is a neurosurgeon and well over 70 years old!
The strong opening set a positive tone for the seminar and competition that followed, reflecting both the standard of the participants and the commitment of the organisers.

With celebs in the house, some parents wasted no time—straight in for a cheeky snap with the Bangladesh superstar. 📸

And some were simply in awe of their parents’ favourite superstar. ✨
