On 1 April 2026, our Taekwondo Bangladesh team travelled to Nilgiri Hill Resort in Bandarban.
The trip was organised as a chance for our students, parents and volunteers to unwind, enjoy the scenic drive, and take in the stunning views from the resort, which had been exclusively booked for us for the night.
Mr Uddin (4th Dan), along with our host Mr Akber (4th Dan), put in a great deal of time, effort and resources to secure exclusive use of the resort for our group for one night.

Being up in the clouds, away from cars, noise and the usual rush, is something to be valued. With only nature around you, it gives you the space to slow down, think clearly and take things at a more relaxed pace.

Cheeky Mr K Uddin somehow convinced a few of the students that a “quick” Taekwondo patterns session on the helipad was exactly what they needed — no rest for the wicked 😉. To be fair, it was technically a Taekwondo break and “not a break” from Taekwondo😉.

Meanwhile, the rest mysteriously vanished (Led by Mr N Uddin) — only to be found hiding out and fully embracing the midnight breeze in Bandarban. Training? Optional. Vibes? Essential.

Watching the sunrise in this setting, with a warm cup of tea in hand, is something everyone should experience. It’s simple, calming, and quietly soothing.

A morning stroll after breakfast, taking it all in with family and classmates, was just as refreshing.

It was a truly memorable experience—one that we will cherish for years to come—and a well-deserved break for our international athletes. Access to the resort required passing through several security checkpoints, as entry is managed under army supervision, making the visit feel even more special and unique.
We are extremely thankful to the Bangladesh Army, and everyone else involved, for allowing us to experience this.
