The Impact competition took place on 4 July 2026 at SportsDock, University of East London, 4–6 University Way, London, E16 2RD.
The event brought together competitors from across the UK, giving them the opportunity to demonstrate their skills and abilities in a competitive environment. Participants took part in a range of contests throughout the day, showing commitment, determination, and sportsmanship.
National coaches were present to provide guidance, encouragement, and support, helping competitors prepare and perform to the best of their ability. The event was well attended and created a positive atmosphere, allowing participants to meet others from different regions and gain valuable experience. The competition celebrated individual achievement while promoting respect, teamwork, and healthy competition among all those involved.
We are extremely proud of our students for making the journey and taking part in such a well-respected tournament. It takes courage and commitment to step onto the competition floor, and we congratulate them, along with all the other competitors who travelled from across the country to participate. Simply entering a competition is an achievement in itself.
Taekwondo competitions are about far more than medals. They give young practitioners the chance to demonstrate their patterns, test their sparring skills and attempt exciting special techniques in front of an enthusiastic crowd.
While it is natural to feel nervous, those moments are often where the most growth happens. Every match, whether it ends in victory or defeat, helps to build confidence, resilience and lasting friendships.
For parents and supporters, it is a proud moment to watch their children step forward with determination, enjoy the experience with their teammates and take pride in giving their best effort. Competitions create confidence, valuable experiences and memories that stay with them for years to come.
