On Saturday, 22nd November 2025, we held our Silverback Black Belt Ceremony to honour the prestigious ‘Class of 2025‘. This year’s students completed their black belt grading on 25th September 2025, and the results were announced on 4th October, when they officially received their black belts.
The evening was a wonderful celebration shared with the black belts, their families, and their loved ones. Students were presented with their embroidered belts, official certificates, and other special gifts.
The event was organised by the parents of the black belts, and it truly was a remarkable evening—filled with celebration, achievements, humour, and great food. A fantastic night all round.

The event is held for our Class of 2025 to receive their embroidered black belts, along with a few other small gifts, and to celebrate their achievements.

Three of our Class of 2025 shared their experiences and the journey that led them to this milestone. (Personal statements for all can be read below.)
Roses were given to the students for them to present to their mothers. This was a small gesture of love and appreciation for the hardship, patience and support that mothers and loved ones show throughout the students’ journey towards their black belts — and a lovely way to keep mums involved in the ceremony!
The moment brought out genuine emotion and affection between the students and their families.
Parents also presented a few gifts to the children.
We cannot forget their senior instructor, Mr K. Uddin. Over the years, he has been like a parent to these students, supporting them not just in Taekwondo, but in their schooling, personal challenges and life beyond the Dojang. Truly, he is more than a Taekwondo teacher!
The remarkable evening was enjoyed by students, teachers and parents alike, ending sweetly with cake shared among family and loved ones.
